  • Payment information: transaction records related to subscriptions. Payment card details are processed securely by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
  • Email and newsletter data: your email preferences, newsletter subscriptions, and engagement data (e.g. whether emails were opened).
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, and IP address collected automatically when you access the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the ChefLane platform.
  • Process subscriptions and payments between subscribers and creators.
  • Send newsletters from creators you follow or subscribe to.
  • Deliver transactional emails such as password resets, subscription confirmations, and payment receipts.

  • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions, payouts, and refunds.
  • Vercel — hosting, deployment, and web analytics.
  • Cloudflare R2 — secure storage for recipe images, profile photos, and other uploaded media.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (password resets, subscription confirmations, newsletters).
  • Google OAuth (optional) — social login for users who choose to sign in with their Google account.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
